On February 17, 2011, Adrian Alicea showcased his second collection as a designer, Adrian Alicea Haute Couture, at the Historic National Black Theater, in Harlem, NY. It was a bold and brilliant collection that featured pieces for men, women, and children. It was also a brave move on Alicea’s part because he chose to present at his own show on the last official night of New York Fashion Week. Later that night, in a post-show interview, Alicea told our fashion reporter Shakyra LaShae that his collection was inspired by Sherlock Holmes and world of animation. Alicea also said that he would like to venture into creating costumes for movies; Alicea In Wonderland and other.
