About John Ashford & The John Ashford Collection
John Ashford is a shoe designer, painter, illustrator, author, and teacher based in New York City. He studied with an Italian cobbler in Naples, Italy, and uses the finest Italian leathers in his work. In 2003, he founded The John Ashford Collection, which includes a strong roster of one of a kind creatively designed shoes consisting of artistic masterpieces uniquely handmade. Each shoe is individually styled, so every pair is not exactly the same.
John Ashford has many satisfied clients in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Washington, D.C., and throughout other parts of the world such as Africa, Australia, England, France, Germany, Switzerland. He has worked with A-List celebrities such as Tyra Banks, Paris Hilton, Alicia Keys, and Wendy Williams.
John Ashford’s shoes have appeared in fashion, art, and entertainment publications, including Atomica, Future Claw, Savoy, Status, Supermodels Unlimited, Zink, Karen (New Zealand), and Neue Mode (Germany). The John Ashford Collection has been showcased in New York Fashion Week, Couture Fashion Week (Waldorf Astoria, NYC), Caribbean Catwalk (Virgin Islands), Charleston Fashion Week (South Carolina), and Caribbean Fashion Week (Jamaica).
